  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • Zest and juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add asparagus to the skillet; cook for about 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Stir in lemon zest and juice; reduce heat to low.
  5. Toss in cooked pasta with reserved pasta water and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
