Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup half-and-half or whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 pack (12-count) King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and half-and-half until smooth. Add vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt; mix well.
  2. Poke holes in the bottom of each Hawaiian roll using a toothpick or skewer to help them absorb the custard.
  3. Dip each roll in the custard mixture for about 30 seconds, ensuring even coating without excess soaking.
  4. Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook each roll for 30–60 seconds on each side until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm topped with powdered sugar, fresh berries, or maple syrup.
