  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon cooking sake (or rice apple vinegar)
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Ginger and scallion for flavoring

Instructions

  1. Clean the chicken wings and pat dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, mirin, cooking sake, sesame oil, black pepper powder, and ginger.
  3. Add chicken wings to the marinade; coat well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (207°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired.
  5. Arrange marinated wings on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes; apply glaze and continue baking for another 10 minutes.
  7. Repeat glazing one more time and bake until browned (another 10-12 minutes).
