  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 12 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Optional: chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew strong coffee or espresso and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, then layer half at the bottom of serving cups.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers.
  5. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight to set.
  7. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and top with chocolate shavings if desired.
