  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 2 medium carrots
  • ½ large red onion
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Cut cabbage into bite-sized chunks, slice sausage into ¾ inch pieces, cut onion into thick slivers, and slice carrots.
  3. Lay out four double sheets of aluminum foil, spray with non-stick cooking spray, and evenly distribute the vegetables.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and add a tablespoon of butter on each pile.
  5. Place sausage slices on top of vegetables.
  6. Wrap the packets tightly and cook for 20-25 minutes on the grill or 30-35 minutes in the oven, turning halfway through.
